Ambassador Xiao Qian meets with Indonesian Minister of Agriculture

On May 10th, H.E. Ambassador Xiao Qian had an online meeting with H.E. Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia.

Ambassador Xiao congratulated Mr. Limpo on his new appointment, saying that China and Indonesia are both major developing countries and agricultural countries. The two countries enjoy a solid foundation and broad prospects for agricultural cooperation. China is willing to further strengthen cooperation with Indonesia in agricultural trade, investment, personnel training, and technical exchanges so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Minister Limbo said that the relationship between both countries goes back to ancient times, the two countries enjoy close and vigorous bilateral economic and trade exchanges and sustain a sound momentum in agricultural cooperation. The Indonesian side wishes to further expand the export of its advantageous agricultural products to China such as bird's nest and tropical fruits, to further strengthen the bilateral agricultural exchanges and cooperation so as to achieve the new development of bilateral agricultural cooperation.
