On May 18, Ambassador Lu Kang called on Indonesian Vice President K.H. Ma’ruf Amin.

Ambassador Lu thanked the Vice President for his care and support for China-Indonesia relations and practical cooperation. Ambassador Lu said, bilateral economic and trade cooperation has been expanding in recent years, with trade volume growing despite the pandemic. China welcomes more quality products from Indonesian companies via China International Import Expo and other platforms. Lu expressed his readiness to work with Indonesian colleagues to implement the important consensus reached by the leadership of the two countries, advance practical cooperation, enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, and strengthen coordination and cooperation on international and regional affairs. Ambassador Lu stressed that a successful G20 Summit under Indonesia’s presidency is of great significance, and Indonesia has China’s full support.

Vice President K.H. Ma’ruf Amin welcomed Ambassador Lu Kang to Indonesia. He expressed pleasure at the positive achievements made by the two countries in economic, trade and other fields in recent years and thanked China for its assistance to build a regional vaccine manufacturing hub and support for a successful G20 Summit. He hoped that the two sides will work more closely in trade, health, culture and other areas to take bilateral relations to new heights.
