On 31st January, the Women's Group of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia was invited to attend the Chinese New Year Celebration held by the Women's International Club Jakarta (WIC), celebrating the Chinese New Year and deepening friendship with more than a hundred club members. Madam Chen Yue, wife of Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia and Head of the Women's Group of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, and spouses of ambassadors from 25 diplomatic missions, including Russian and Lao Missions to ASEAN, and Argentina and Bangladesh Embassies to Indonesia attended the event.

Ms Nina Handoko, President of WIC, warmly welcomed the Women's Group of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia for its support and attendance in this event, and expressed great appreciation for its participation in the 53rd Annual Bazaar held by WIC in 2022 and donating proceeds from charity sale. The WIC also expressed its sincere thanks to the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia for its long-term support to Indonesia's welfare undertakings.

The event site was decorated with lights and festoons, full of festive atmosphere. Diplomats from the Chinese Embassy introduced the origin and customs of the Chinese New Year to club members. The dancing team of the Women's Group of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia performed a piece of wonderful Chinese classical dance, which pushed the atmosphere to a climax and won praise from all the guests. After the performance, Madam Chen Yue participated in the Mini Charity Bazaar held at the event.
