On 26 June, H.E. Ambassador Lu Kang held a reception to bid farewell to Defense Attaché SenCol. Chen Yongjing and welcome the newly-appointed Defense Attaché SenCol. Xu Sheng. Brigadier General Steverly, Director of the International Cooperation Directorate of Ministry of Defense of Indonesia, First Air Marshal Destianto, Strategic Intelligence Department of TNI Indonesia and other Indonesian officers and friends, Minister Zhou Kan and Counselor Ma Gang of the Chinese Embassy attended the event.

Ambassador Lu Kang spoke highly of the China-Indonesia relations and the bilateral mil-to-mil relationship, appreciated SenCol. Chen's work during his tenure and his contribution to the development of China-Indonesia defense and military cooperation. He also welcomed SenCol. Xu and hoped the MoD and TNI Indonesia would continue to support the work of SenCol. Xu as always.

Brigadier General Steverly, on behalf of the Indonesian military, expressed his gratitude to SenCol. Chen for his contribution during his tenure, warmly welcomed SenCol. Xu and expressed expectation to work together to achive new progress in the relationship and pragmatic cooperation between Indonesian and Chinese armed foreces.

SenCol. Chen reviewed his work experience in Indonesia, feeling proud of being able to contribute to the friendly cooperation between China and Indonesia. He expressed gratitude to the Indonesian MoD and TNI for their support and help.

SenCol. Xu said it was a great honor to come to Indonesia. He felt that the responsibility as Defense Attaché was glorious. He will work with the Indonesian MoD and TNI to strive for new developments in China-Indonesia defense cooperation and the relationship between the two armed forces.
