On November 9, 2023, Ambassador Lu Kang met with new Ambassador of Cyprus to Indonesia H.E. Nikos Panayiotou. The two sides had a friendly exchange of views on China-Cyprus relations.

Ambassador Lu Kang welcomed Ambassador Nikos Panayiotou to his new post and said that China and Cyprus are good friends and partners. Both sides insist on mutual respect, mutual support, and win-win cooperation, which has set a good example for bilateral relations.

Ambassador Nikos spoke highly of the relations between the two countries and the cooperation in the United Nations and other multilateral mechanisms.

The two sides also exchanged views on the current humanitarian crisis in Gaza Strip.
