On December 8, 2023, Ambassador Lu Kang called on Indonesian Vice Foreign Minister Pahala Nugraha Mansury. They exchanged views on China-Indonesia relations and cooperation in various fields.
Ambassador Lu Kang said that President Xi Jinping and President Jokowi reached important consensus on continuing to deepen the China-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and building a community with a shared future for China and Indonesia. China is therefore willing to work more closely with Indonesia, with the consensus as a strategic guidance, to promote a stronger and diversified bilateral relationship with high-quality and mutually benefit. China also expects to carry out more pragmatic cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, tourism etc, so as to bring more benefits to the two peoples.
Vice Foreign Minister Pahala said that Indonesia is willing to work with China to make better use of the existing cooperation mechanisms and platforms between the two countries, to promote cooperation in the fields of green economy, blue economy, and downstream industries, etc, and bring out more fruits of cooperation on an earlier date.
The two sides also exchanged views on hot-spot issues, including the current humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
