On 23 October 2024, Wang Lutong, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Indonesia, presented the copy of the Letter of Credence to Ambassador Andy, Director-General for Protocol and Consular Affairs of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ambassador Wang said it was a great honor to serve as the Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia, and thanked the Indonesian side for the the warm and friendly hospitality and arrangements accorded to him. Ambassador Wang spoke highly of China-Indonesia relations, and said that China will continue to work with Indonesia to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the two Presidents, and strengthen practical cooperation in all areas under the pretext of the 75 Anniversary of the diplomatic ties between the two countries next year, so as to take the building of the China-Indonesia community with a shared future to new heights.

Director-General Andy warmly welcomed Ambassador Wang Lutong and said that the Indonesian Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to provide facilitation for the work of Ambassador Wang and the Chinese diplomats in Indonesia to keep the good momentum of Indonesia-China relations.
