On January 8, 2025, Ambassador Wang Lutong was invited to attend the "Think Business, Think Hong Kong" dinner and delivered remarks. Over 400 guests participated in the event, including Mr. Chan Mo-po, Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Peter KN Lam, Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and Ms. Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, Vice Minister of Trade of Indonesia.
In his speech, Ambassador Wang stated that "One Country, Two Systems" has achieved great success in Hong Kong since 1997. Hong Kong’s status as an international financial, shipping, and trade center has been firmly established, and it remains one of the most open and liberal economies. Hong Kong’s distinctive advantages-its deep integration with the global market, its role as a gateway to the Chinese mainland, and its status as a hub for innovation-make it a vital bridge for collaboration between China-Indonesia. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia, which will bring new opportunities to Hong Kong. China and Indonesia will further deepen their comprehensive strategic partnership, bringing tangible benefits to the people of both sides.
