On May 15, Ambassador Wang Lutong delivered a speech at a Yunnan cultural and tourism promotion event themed "A Many-Splendored Life in Yunnan-Yunnan Cultural and Tourism Promotion in Indonesia". Among the attendees were H.E. Wang Ning, Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Yunnan Provincial Committee, H.E. Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin, Chairman of DPD Indonesia and his wife, H.E. Ni Made Ayu Marthini, Deputy Minister of Tourism Indonesia, H.E. Hou Yanqi, Chinese Ambassador to ASEAN, diplomatic envoys to Indonesia, Mr. Abdul Alek Soelystio, Chairman of PERPIT Indonesia, and more than 250 Chinese and Indonesian representatives of cultural and tourism enterprises.

Ambassador Wang Lutong said in his speech that over the past 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia, the two sides have stood together through thick and thin, and the bilateral relations have made great progress and the friendship has been deeply rooted in the public. Last year, President Xi Jinping and President Prabowo met twice and agreed to firmly support each other's national development vision, work together to march on their respective paths of modernization, build a China-Indonesia community with a shared future of regional and global influence, and take the bilateral relations to new heights. It is the belief that the development of tourism cooperation between the two countries will play a positive role in promoting the friendship between the two countries from generation to generation and building a community with a shared future.
