On May 23, Ambassador Wang Lutong attended and delivered a speech at the launching ceremony of the “China-Indonesia 75th Anniversary Commemorative Debit Card,” jointly organized by the Bank of China and UnionPay International. The event was attended by over 100 participants, including representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Investment, financial institutions from both China and Indonesia, as well as industry associations and chambers of commerce.

In his remarks, Ambassador Wang highlighted that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia. Under the strategic guidance of the two Presidents, both countries have deepened their comprehensive strategic partnership and accelerated the building of the China-Indonesia community with a shared future. Bilateral cooperation has yielded fruitful results across various fields, including infrastructure, digital economy, and green transition.

Ambassador Wang emphasized that finance is the lifeblood of the economy. He expressed hope that the two countries would strengthen cooperation in areas such as local currencies settlement, green finance, project financing, and digital payments, in order to build a more efficient and sustainable regional financial ecosystem and promote shared development.
