Indonesia, known as the "emerald of the equator" and the "nation of archipelago", boasts a splendid and ancient civilization. In recent years, the Indonesian people strive to deliver social stability, economic growth and better lives for the country. Indonesia’s important role in regional and international affairs is increasingly prominent.

China and Indonesia are good neighbors, good friends, and good partners who "carry it together be it heavy or light". Since the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2013, under the strategic guidance of the two presidents, China-Indonesia relations have seen sound and steady development. With deeper political mutual trust, frequent high-level exchanges and fruitful outcomes in all areas of cooperation, the bilateral relations have come to a new stage featuring greater vitality and achievements.

China and Indonesia are committed to seeking respective development for the country and happiness for the people. The two sides share similar aspirations and thus have broad prospect for mutually beneficial cooperation. My colleagues in the Embassy and I are ready to work with friends from all walks of life in Indonesia to implement the consensus reached by the two Presidents, enhance synergy of development strategies, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, expand people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and actively advance the building of a China-Indonesia community with a shared future. The Chinese Embassy in Indonesia will also, as always, provide good services for Chinese citizens in Indonesia.
