Liu Yandong in Indonesia: China's vice premier promotes use of science and technology in Indonesia

China's Vice Premier visited Indonesia to strengthen people-to-people exchanges and improve cultural ties.

 

Vice Premiere Liu Yandong paid a 4-day visit to Indonesia, covering several places including the capital Jakarta, Yogyakarta and Solo. One of the main purposes of the visit is to promote and develop the use of science and technology in Indonesia. Liu said that innovation is an important factor when it comes to sectors such as agriculture, information and technology, environment and energy. She also addressed the cooperation between China and Indonesia under the mechanism of social and cultural exchange program. Both parties have seen major progress by signing at least 7 agreements related to the program and also by sending Indonesian researchers to China to learn and experience the growth of science in China."

Our cooperation would not only benefit China and Indonesia but also the whole ASEAN region.
