On 23rd March, Vice Chairman of National Development and Reform Commission Ning Jizhe inspected the Jakarta-Bandung High-speed railway project. Ning visited the 1# Tunnel and Walini Tunnel, both key to the project. Ning also met with Chinese companies involved in the project. Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Xiao Qian, Chairman of China Development Bank (CDB) Zhao Huan, China Railway deputy chief engineer and Chairman of China Railway International Yang Zhongmin, as well as representative from China Railway and Power Construction Corporation of China accompanied Ning during the visit.

After visiting construction site and listening to the briefing by people in charge, Vice Chairman Ning commended the positive progress of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway project, and encouraged Chinese companies involved in the project to overcome difficulties and speed up construction so as to ensure early completion of a high-quality project.

In the afternoon of 22nd, Vice Chairman Ning met with Minister for State Owned Enterprises of Indonesia Rini. The two sides exchanged views on jointly promoting progress for the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway and capacity cooperation in other areas.
