Xi Jinping Meets with President Joko Widodo of Indonesia

On November 15 local time, President Xi Jinping met with President Joko Widodo of Indonesia in Antalya of Turkey.

Xi Jinping pointed out that this year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between China and Indonesia. The Chinese side is satisfied with the new positive results made by both countries in docking development strategies and deepening practical cooperation. The Chinese side is willing to continue to boost economic and trade cooperation with Indonesia, strengthen major project cooperation in infrastructure construction and other areas and expand the scale of bilateral currency swap. The Chinese side stands ready to offer support to Indonesia in post-fire forest restoration and other relevant livelihood projects.

Joko Widodo noted that Indonesia highly values its comprehensive strategic partnership with China, and appreciates relevant support and assistance from the Chinese side. The Indonesian side is willing to join efforts with the Chinese side to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in railway, energy and other areas. Indonesia will support China in hosting the G20 Summit next year.
