NHC Update: New Confirmed Cases in Hubei Drop to Single Digit

1. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 11 March, the following were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 15 confirmed cases;

b) 11 fatal cases (10 in Hubei and 1 in Shaanxi);

c) 33 suspected cases;

d) 1,318 cured and discharged cases;

e) 2,206 close contacts released from medical observation; and

f) 235 fewer severe cases.

2. As of 24:00, 11 March, the following had been reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 14,831 confirmed cases (including 4,257 severe cases) still under treatment;

b) 62,793 cured and discharged cases;

c) 3,169 fatal cases;

d) 80,793 confirmed cases;

e) 253 suspected cases pending test results; and

f) 677,243 close contacts traced (including 13,701 still under medical observation).

3. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 11 March, the following were newly reported by Hubei:

a) 8 confirmed cases (all in Wuhan);

b) 1,242 cured and discharged cases (including 1,053 in Wuhan);

c) 10 fatal cases (including 7 in Wuhan); and

d) 2 suspected cases (both in Wuhan).

As of 24:00, 11 March, Hubei had reported:

a) 14,427 confirmed cases (including 13,462 in Wuhan) still under treatment;

b) 4,180 severe cases (including 4,003 in Wuhan);

c) 50,298 cured and discharged cases (including 34,094 in Wuhan);

d) 3,056 fatal cases (including 2,430 in Wuhan);

e) 67,781 confirmed cases (including 49,986 in Wuhan); and

f) 158 suspected cases (including 152 in Wuhan) pending test results.

4. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 11 March, 6 imported confirmed cases were newly reported (3 in Guangdong, 2 in Gansu, and 1 in Henan). As of 24:00, 11 March, 85 imported confirmed cases had been reported.

5. As of 24:00, 11 March, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan had altogether reported 187 confirmed cases:

a) 129 (including 67 discharged cases and 3 fatal cases) in the Hong Kong SAR;

b) 10 (all discharged) in the Macao SAR; and

c) 48 (including 17 discharged cases and 1 fatal case) in the Taiwan region.
