1. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 28 March, the following were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 45 confirmed cases (including 44 imported cases and 1 domestic case in Henan);

b) 5 fatal cases (all in Hubei);

c) 28 suspected cases (including 27 imported cases and 1 domestic case in Gansu);

d) 477 cured and discharged cases;

e) 1,097 close contacts released from medical observation; and

f) 179 fewer severe cases.

2. As of 24:00, 28 March, the following had been reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 2,691 confirmed cases (including 742 severe cases) still under treatment;

b) 75,448 cured and discharged cases;

c) 3,300 fatal cases;

d) 81,439 confirmed cases;

e) 174 suspected cases pending test results; and

f) 701,884 close contacts traced (including 18,581 still under medical observation).

3. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 28 March, the following were newly reported by Hubei:

a) no confirmed case (Wuhan included);

b) 467 cured and discharged cases (all in Wuhan);

c) 5 fatal cases (all in Wuhan); and

d) no suspected case (Wuhan included).

As of 24:00, 28 March, Hubei had reported:

a) 2,054 confirmed cases still under treatment (including 2,045 in Wuhan);

b) 710 severe cases still under treatment (including 706 in Wuhan);

c) 62,565 cured and discharged cases (including 45,418 in Wuhan);

d) 3,182 fatal cases (including 2,543 in Wuhan);

e) 67,801 confirmed cases (including 50,006 in Wuhan); and

f) no suspected case pending test results (Wuhan included).

4. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 28 March, 44 imported cases (confirmed) were newly reported (8 in Guangdong, 7 in Tianjin, 7 in Shanghai, 4 in Beijing, 3 in Liaoning, 3 in Jiangsu, 3 in Zhejiang, 2 in Sichuan, 1 in Shanxi, 1 in Inner Mongolia, 1 in Jilin, 1 in Fujian, 1 in Jiangxi, 1 in Chongqing and 1 in Guizhou). As of 24:00, 28 March, 693 imported cases (confirmed) had been reported.

5. As of 24:00, 28 March, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan had altogether reported 902 confirmed cases:

a) 582 in the Hong Kong SAR (including 112 discharged cases and 4 fatal cases);

b) 37 in the Macao SAR (including 10 discharged cases); and

c) 283 in the Taiwan region (including 30 discharged cases and 2 fatal cases).
