1. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 31 March, the following were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 36 confirmed cases (35 imported cases and 1 local case in Guangdong);

b) 7 fatal cases (6 in Hubei and 1 in Shanghai);

c) 26 suspected cases (all imported);

d) 186 cured and discharged cases;

e) 1,418 close contacts released from medical observation; and

f) 62 fewer severe cases.

2. As of 24:00, 31 March, 691 imported cases (including 20 severe cases) are still under treatment and 169 suspected cases pending test results. In total, 806 imported cases have been confirmed, 115 cases cured and discharged, and no fatal cases reported.

3. As of 24:00, 31 March, the following had been reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 2,004 confirmed cases (including 466 severe cases) still under treatment;

b) 172 suspected cases pending test results;

c) 81,554 confirmed cases;

d) 76,238 cured and discharged cases;

e) 3,312 fatal cases; and

f) 707,913 close contacts traced (including 20,314 still under medical observation).

4. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 31 March, the following were newly reported by Hubei:

a) 1 confirmed case (1 imported in Wuhan);

b) 173 cured and discharged cases (all in Wuhan);

c) 6 fatal cases (5 in Wuhan); and

d) no suspected cases (Wuhan included).

As of 24:00, 31 March, Hubei had reported:

a) 1,283 confirmed cases still under treatment (including 1,279 in Wuhan);

b) 435 severe cases still under treatment (including 432 in Wuhan);

c) 63,326 cured and discharged cases (including 46,175 in Wuhan);

d) 3,193 fatal cases (including 2,553 in Wuhan);

e) 67,802 confirmed cases (including 50,007 in Wuhan); and

f) no suspected cases pending test results (Wuhan included).

5. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 31 March, the following were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 130 asymptomatic cases;

b) 2 asymptomatic cases which developed into confirmed ones;

c) 302 asymptomatic cases released from quarantine; and

d) 1,367 asymptomatic cases still under medical observation, 174 fewer than the day before.

6. As of 24:00, 31 March, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan had altogether reported 1,077 confirmed cases:

a) 714 in the Hong Kong SAR (including 128 discharged cases and 4 fatal cases);

b) 41 in the Macao SAR (including 10 discharged cases); and

c) 322 in the Taiwan region (including 39 discharged cases and 5 fatal cases).
