1. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 1 April, the following were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 35 confirmed cases (all imported);

b) 6 fatal cases (all in Hubei);

c) 20 suspected cases (all imported);

d) 170 cured and discharged cases;

e) 1,898 close contacts released from medical observation; and

f) 37 fewer severe cases.

2. As of 24:00, 1 April, 701 imported cases (including 18 severe cases) are still under treatment and 152 suspected cases pending test results. In total, 841 imported cases have been confirmed, 140 cases cured and discharged, and no fatal cases reported.

3. As of 24:00, 1 April, the following had been reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 1,863 confirmed cases (including 429 severe cases) still under treatment;

b) 153 suspected cases pending test results;

c) 81,589 confirmed cases;

d) 76,408 cured and discharged cases;

e) 3,318 fatal cases; and

f) 709,570 close contacts traced (including 20,072 still under medical observation).

4. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 1 April, the following were newly reported by Hubei:

a) no confirmed cases (Wuhan included);

b) 145 cured and discharged cases (all in Wuhan);

c) 6 fatal cases (all in Wuhan); and

d) no suspected cases (Wuhan included).

As of 24:00, 1 April, Hubei had reported:

a) 1,132 confirmed cases still under treatment (including 1,128 in Wuhan);

b) 400 severe cases still under treatment (including 397 in Wuhan);

c) 63,471 cured and discharged cases (including 46,320 in Wuhan);

d) 3,199 fatal cases (including 2,559 in Wuhan);

e) 67,802 confirmed cases (including 50,007 in Wuhan); and

f) no suspected cases pending test results (Wuhan included).

5. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 1 April, the following were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 55 asymptomatic cases (17 imported);

b) 9 asymptomatic cases which developed into confirmed ones (all imported);

c) 338 asymptomatic cases released from medical observation (12 imported); and

d) 1,075 asymptomatic cases still under medical observation (226 imported).

6. As of 24:00, 1 April, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan had altogether reported 1,135 confirmed cases:

a) 765 in the Hong Kong SAR (including 147 discharged cases and 4 fatal cases);

b) 41 in the Macao SAR (including 10 discharged cases); and

c) 329 in the Taiwan region (including 45 discharged cases and 5 fatal cases).
