1. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 2 April, the following were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 31 confirmed cases (29 imported, and 1 local case in Liaoning and Guangdong respectively);

b) 4 fatal cases (all in Hubei);

c) 12 suspected cases (all imported);

d) 163 cured and discharged cases;

e) 1,990 close contacts released from medical observation; and

f) 50 fewer severe cases.

2. As of 24:00, 2 April, 710 imported cases (including 19 severe cases) are still under treatment and 135 suspected cases pending test results. In total, 870 imported cases have been confirmed, 160 cases cured and discharged, and no fatal case reported.

3. As of 24:00, 2 April, the following had been reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 1,727 confirmed cases (including 379 severe cases) still under treatment;

b) 135 suspected cases pending test results;

c) 81,620 confirmed cases;

d) 76,571cured and discharged cases;

e) 3,322 fatal cases; and

f) 710,985 close contacts traced (including 19,533 still under medical observation).

4. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 2 April, the following were newly reported by Hubei:

a) no confirmed case (Wuhan included);

b) 141 cured and discharged cases (all in Wuhan);

c) 4 fatal cases (all in Wuhan); and

d) no suspected case (Wuhan included).

As of 24:00, 2 April, Hubei had reported:

a) 987 confirmed cases still under treatment (including 983 in Wuhan);

b) 349 severe cases still under treatment (including 346 in Wuhan);

c) 63,612 cured and discharged cases (including 46,461 in Wuhan);

d) 3,203 fatal cases (including 2,563 in Wuhan);

e) 67,802 confirmed cases (including 50,007 in Wuhan); and

f) no suspected case pending test result (Wuhan included).

5. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 2 April, the following were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 60 asymptomatic cases (7 imported);

b) 7 asymptomatic cases which developed into confirmed ones (all imported);

c) 101 asymptomatic cases released from medical observation (5 imported); and

d) 1,027 asymptomatic cases still under medical observation (221 imported).

6. As of 24:00, 2 April, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan had altogether reported 1,182 confirmed cases:

a) 802 in the Hong Kong SAR (including 154 discharged cases and 4 fatal cases);

b) 41 in the Macao SAR (including 10 discharged cases); and

c) 339 in the Taiwan region (including 50 discharged cases and 5 fatal cases).
