1. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 9 April, the following were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 42 confirmed cases (38 imported and 4 local cases, i.e. 3 in Guangdong and 1 in Heilongjiang);

b) 1 fatal case (in Hubei);

c) 3 suspected cases (all imported, 2 in Inner Mongolia and 1 in Shanghai);

d) 85 cured and discharged cases;

e) 1,823 close contacts released from medical observation; and

f) 32 fewer severe cases.

2. As of 24:00, 9 April, among all the imported cases, 733 confirmed cases (including 34 severe cases) are still under treatment and 53 suspected cases are pending test results. In total, 1,141 imported cases have been confirmed, 408 cases cured and discharged, and no fatal case reported.

3. As of 24:00, 9 April, the following had been reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 1,116 confirmed cases (including 144 severe cases) still under treatment;

b) 53 suspected cases pending test results;

c) 81,907 confirmed cases;

d) 77,455 cured and discharged cases;

e) 3,336 fatal cases; and

f) 717,378 close contacts traced (including 11,176 still under medical observation).

4. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 9 April, the following were newly reported by Hubei:

a) no confirmed case;

b) 49 cured and discharged cases (all in Wuhan);

c) 1 fatal case (in Wuhan); and

d) no suspected case.

As of 24:00, 9 April, Hubei had reported:

a) 351 confirmed cases still under treatment (including 348 in Wuhan);

b) 103 severe cases still under treatment (including 101 in Wuhan);

c) 64,236 cured and discharged cases (including 47,085 in Wuhan);

d) 3,216 fatal cases (including 2,575 in Wuhan);

e) 67,803 confirmed cases (including 50,008 in Wuhan); and

f) no suspected case pending test results.

5. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 9 April, the following asymptomatic cases were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 47 new cases (14 imported);

b) 14 developed into confirmed cases (all imported);

c) 40 cases released from medical observation (15 imported); and

d) 1,097 cases still under medical observation (349 imported).

6. As of 24:00, 9 April, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan had altogether reported 1,398 confirmed cases:

a) 973 in the Hong Kong SAR (including 293 discharged cases and 4 fatal cases);

b) 45 in the Macao SAR (including 10 discharged cases); and

c) 380 in the Taiwan region (including 80 discharged cases and 5 fatal cases).
