1. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 16 April, the following were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 26 confirmed cases (15 imported and 11 local cases, i.e. 5 in Guangdong, 3 in Heilongjiang, 2 in Shandong and 1 in Liaoning);

b) no fatal case;

c) 3 suspected cases (all local cases, i.e. 2 in Heilongjiang and 1 in Inner Mongolia);

d) 52 cured and discharged cases;

e) 412 close contacts released from medical observation; and

f) 6 fewer severe cases.

2. As of 24:00, 16 April, among all the imported cases, 879 confirmed cases (including 45 severe cases) are still under treatment and 57 suspected cases are pending test results. In total, 1,549 imported cases have been confirmed, 670 cases cured and discharged, and no fatal case reported.

3. As of 24:00, 16 April, the following had been reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 1,081 confirmed cases (including 89 severe cases) still under treatment;

b) 77,944 cured and discharged cases;

c) 3,342 fatal cases;

d) 82,367 confirmed cases;

e) 62 suspected cases pending test results; and

f) 722,909 close contacts traced (including 8,970 still under medical observation).

4. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 16 April, the following were newly reported by Hubei:

a) no confirmed case;

b) 17 cured and discharged cases (all in Wuhan);

c) no fatal case; and

d) no suspected case.

As of 24:00, 16 April, Hubei had reported:

a) 129 confirmed cases still under treatment (all in Wuhan);

b) 32 severe cases still under treatment (all in Wuhan);

c) 64,452 cured and discharged cases (including 47,300 in Wuhan);

d) 3,222 fatal cases (including 2,579 in Wuhan);

e) 67,803 confirmed cases (including 50,008 in Wuhan); and

f) no suspected case pending test result.

5. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 16 April, the following asymptomatic cases were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 66 new cases (3 imported);

b) 10 developed into confirmed ones (6 imported);

c) 50 cases released from medical observation (8 imported); and

d) 1,038 cases still under medical observation (206 imported).

6. As of 24:00, 16 April, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan had altogether reported 1,457 confirmed cases:

a) 1,017 in the Hong Kong SAR (including 485 discharged cases and 4 fatal cases);

b) 45 in the Macao SAR (including 16 discharged cases); and

c) 395 in the Taiwan region (including 155 discharged cases and 6 fatal cases).
