1. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 21 April, the following were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 30 confirmed cases (23 imported, and 7 local cases in Heilongjiang);

b) no fatal cases;

c) 3 suspected cases (all imported);

d) 28 cured and discharged cases;

e) 784 close contacts released from medical observation; and

f) 4 fewer severe cases.

2. As of 24:00, 21 April, among all the imported cases, 811 confirmed cases (including 41 severe cases) are still under treatment and 30 suspected cases are pending test results. In total, 1,610 imported cases had been confirmed, 799 cases cured and discharged, and no fatal cases reported.

3. As of 24:00, 21 April, the following had been reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 1,005 confirmed cases (including 78 severe cases) still under treatment;

b) 77,151 cured and discharged cases;

c) 4,632 fatal cases;

d) 82,788 confirmed cases;

e) 35 suspected cases pending test results; and

f) 727,589 close contacts traced (including 8,796 still under medical observation).

4. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 21 April, the following were newly reported by Hubei:

a) no confirmed cases;

b) 5 cured and discharged cases (all in Wuhan);

c) no fatal cases; and

d) no suspected cases.

As of 24:00, 21 April, Hubei had reported:

a) 97 confirmed cases still under treatment (all in Wuhan);

b) 15 severe cases still under treatment (all in Wuhan);

c) 63,519 cured and discharged cases (including 46,367 in Wuhan);

d) 4,512 fatal cases (including 3,869 in Wuhan);

e) 68,128 confirmed cases (including 50,333 in Wuhan); and

f) no suspected cases pending test result.

5. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 21 April, the following asymptomatic cases were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 42 new cases (7 imported);

b) 1 case developed into confirmed case (0 imported);

c) 42 cases released from medical observation (15 imported); and

d) 991 cases still under medical observation (172 imported).

6. As of 24:00, 21 April, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan had altogether reported 1,499 confirmed cases:

a) 1,029 in the Hong Kong SAR (including 650 discharged cases and 4 fatal cases);

b) 45 in the Macao SAR (including 24 discharged cases); and

c) 425 in the Taiwan region (including 217 discharged cases and 6 fatal cases).
