1. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 23 April, the following were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 6 confirmed cases (2 imported and 4 local cases, i.e. 3 in Heilongjiang and 1 in Guangdong);

b) no fatal cases;

c) 2 suspected cases (both imported in Shanghai);

d) 50 cured and discharged cases;

e) 607 close contacts released from medical observation; and

f) 6 fewer severe cases.

2. As of 24:00, 23 April, among all the imported cases, 769 confirmed cases (including 32 severe cases) are still under treatment and 17 suspected cases are pending test results. In total, 1,618 imported cases had been confirmed, 849 cases cured and discharged, and no fatal cases reported.

3. As of 24:00, 23 April, the following had been reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 915 confirmed cases (including 57 severe cases) still under treatment;

b) 77,257 cured and discharged cases;

c) 4,632 fatal cases;

d) 82,804 confirmed cases;

e) 20 suspected cases pending test results; and

f) 728,590 close contacts traced (including 8,362 still under medical observation).

4. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 23 April, the following were newly reported by Hubei:

a) no confirmed cases;

b) 22 cured and discharged cases (all in Wuhan);

c) no fatal cases; and

d) no suspected cases.

As of 24:00, 23 April, Hubei had reported:

a) 47 confirmed cases still under treatment (all in Wuhan);

b) 1 severe case still under treatment (1 in Wuhan);

c) 63,569 cured and discharged cases (including 46,417 in Wuhan);

d) 4,512 fatal cases (including 3,869 in Wuhan);

e) 68,128 confirmed cases (including 50,333 in Wuhan); and

f) no suspected cases pending test results.

5. Between 00:00 and 24:00, 23 April, the following asymptomatic cases were newly reported by the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

a) 34 new cases (1 imported);

b) 3 cases developed into confirmed cases (0 imported);

c) 36 cases released from medical observation (10 imported); and

d) 979 cases still under medical observation (157 imported).

6. As of 24:00, 23 April, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan had altogether reported 1,507 confirmed cases:

a) 1,035 in the Hong Kong SAR (including 699 discharged cases and 4 fatal cases);

b) 45 in the Macao SAR (including 27 discharged cases); and

c) 427 in the Taiwan region (including 253 discharged cases and 6 fatal cases).
