On 8th May, under the auspices of Chinese National Health Commission (NHC), Indonesian Ministry of State-owned Enterprise and Indonesian Ministry of Health, experts from Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University, Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University, Presidential Medical Team of Indonesia, Indonesia Healthcare Corporation, RSPAD Gatot Subroto Hospital and more than 50 major hospitals across Indonesia held the 2nd video conference on COVID-19.

During the discussion session, medical experts from both sides held practical and in-depth discussion on technical issues such as genome sequencing, vaccine development, treatment of COVID-19 patients with concomitant disorders, plasma treatment, airway procedure, antiviral position in standard treatment, hospital management. Chinese experts patiently answered questions raised by Indonesian experts. As pointed by participants from Indonesia side, the video conference is very practical, professional and successful. The information and experiences provided by the Chinese experts are quite useful.

As entrusted by Chinese Ambassador Xiao Qian, Science Counselor Yi Fanping extended sincere gratitude to the medical experts from both countries for their elaborate preparations and dedicated work on behalf of Ambassador Xiao Qian and the Embassy. He hoped medical experts from both sides could keep close communication in case diagnosis and treatment, so as to jointly enhance clinical management capability.
