BALI, Indonesia, July 22 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi met with his counterparts of New Zealand, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Russia and Pakistan here on Friday on the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum.

During the bilateral meeting between Yang and his New Zealand counterpart Murray McCully, the two ministers agreed that the two countries have maintained good momentum of development and deepened cooperation in economy and trade, culture, education and tourism, saying the two sides will bring the bilateral relations to a new height.

When meeting with DPRK Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun, Yang said the Chinese-DPRK friendship is a precious treasure to each other and the two countries should continue maintaining high-level exchanges, deepening economic and trade cooperation, expanding people-to-people interaction and enhancing multi-lateral coordination.

Pak said the DPRK proposes to resume the six-party talks unconditionally as soon as possible and it is willing to get into contact with related parties.

During the bilateral meeting between Yang and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the two sides said they will make joint efforts to implement the consensus reached by the two countries' leaders and continuously advance their comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

The two sides also hope to further enhance their cooperation in international and Asia-Pacific regional mechanisms, including the frameworks of the Asia-Europe Meeting, ASEAN Regional Forum and East Asia Summit.

The Russian side praised the agreement reached by China and ASEAN countries on the guidelines of implementing the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (DOC) and it objected to internationalize and regionalize the South China Sea issue.

When meeting with Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, Yang said this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of China-Pakistan diplomatic relationship and China is willing to work with Pakistan to boost the strategic cooperative partnership to a new height.

Hina said the two countries are true strategic partners and the Pakistan-China relationship is far more beyond their relationship with other countries. Pakistan regards China as a pillar of maintaining Asia-Pacific stability and will continue strengthening coordination with China in international and multilateral affairs.
