On 21st August , Ambassador Wang Lutong attended and delivered a speech at the China (Xinjiang)-Indonesia Economic and Trade Exchange Conference. Xue Bin, Vice Chairman of the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Commander of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps; Nurul Ichwan, Deputy Minister for Investment Promotion Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, along with representatives from major Chinese and Indonesian business associations and enterprises, attended the event, totaling up to over 100 people.

In his speech, Ambassador Wang Lutong stated that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, bilateral relations have continued to deepen, and practical cooperation has yielded fruitful progress, forming a new pattern of bilateral cooperation based on the "five pillars" of politics, economy, people-to-people and cultural exchange, maritime affairs and security. The trade and investment cooperation between the two countries has continuously improved and upgraded, with numerous highlights. He expressed his hope that through this economic and trade exchange conference, Chinese and Indonesian businesses and representatives from related fields will engage in extensive exchanges, learn from each other, and explore business opportunities, thereby continuously deepening practical cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, culture, and tourism, and achieving win-win, multi-win, and shared success.
