On October 10, the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia hosted a farewell reception for Indonesian transmigration area officials who will soon depart for China to participate in a training program. The event was attended by Ambassador Wang Lutong, Minister Counsellor Li Hongwei, Indonesia’s Minister of Transmigration Iftitah, Secretary-General of the Ministry Edy, program participants, representatives from Ministry of Transmigration, major Chinese and Indonesian media outlets, and embassy staff—over 70 guests in total.

In his remarks, Ambassador Wang Lutong noted that China and Indonesia, both major developing countries, share the important mission of improving people’s livelihoods and promoting development, with broad prospects for cooperation across various fields. He stressed that China attaches great importance to cooperation on poverty reduction and rural revitalization, and that this training program serves as a concrete step to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state. Ambassador Wang expressed the hope that participants would engage in in-depth exchanges and mutual learning to further advance cooperation on poverty reduction and development, contributing to better livelihoods and shared prosperity of the two peoples.
Minister Iftitah expressed appreciation to the Chinese side for its thoughtful organization of the program. He said that the visit will be an opportunity to exchange experiences, enhance communication, promote the development of Indonesia’s transmigration areas, and further deepen practical cooperation and friendship between the two countries.

The event concluded with friendly exchanges and group photos, in a warm and cordial atmosphere.
