On the morning of December 11, the Chinese Navy Task Formation 989 concluded its four-day friendly visit to Indonesia and departed Jakarta for its return journey to China. Diplomats from the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, representatives from Chinese enterprises, Chinese Indonesian and local overseas Chinese, as well as representatives from the Indonesian Navy, were present at the Tanjung Priok Port to see the task formation off.
During the visit, the task formation hosted a deck reception attended by over 200 guests, including H.E. Wang Lutong, the Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia, Vice Admiral Dr. Dehih Hendrata, Commander of Republic of Indonesia Fleet Command, diplomats from the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia and the Chinese Diplomatic Mission to ASEAN, representatives of the Chinese Indonesian and local overseas Chinese, and officers from the Indonesian Navy and Indonesian Maritime Security Agency. The task formation also organized a visit for cadet representatives to the Indonesian Marine Corps camp, where they engaged in sports exchange activities with young Indonesian naval personnel. Some cadets visited the Confucius Institute at Al-Azhar University Indonesia for interactive exchanges with faculty and students. The ships also held several open-day activities, welcoming representatives of local Chinese enterprises, students studying abroad, and Chinese Indonesian and local overseas Chinese for ship tours.
