The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Indonesia successfully hosted the 6th “Hello, China!” Short Video Competition, with the award ceremony held at the Embassy on December 12.

In his remarks, Ambassador Wang Lutong said he was delighted to see young people from Indonesia transcend language, geographical, and cultural differences to tell, through visual storytelling, the sincere friendship between the peoples of China and Indonesia. With the theme of “Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Indonesia,” this year’s competition attracted enthusiastic participation from young people across Indonesia. Participants shared stories of the two countries’ traditional friendship, economic and trade cooperation, and people-to-people and cultural exchanges, while looking ahead to a shared future for the Global South.
Ambassador Wang said, not long ago, the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China concluded successfully in Beijing, setting out major economic and social development goals for China over the next five years, including high-quality development, technological self-reliance and self-strengthening, further comprehensive deepening of reform, improving people’s quality of life, and building a Beautiful China.
Ambassador Wang expressed the hope that more young friends would visit China to see and experience it for themselves, and introduce to Indonesia a real, multidimensional, and vibrant China.
