On December 15, the Indonesian edition of The End of Poverty was officially published and released in Indonesia. The book launch event was jointly held in Jakarta by Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Obor Indonesia (PT Pustaka Obor Indonesia), and CITIC Press Group of China. The author, Professor Li Xiaoyun of China Agricultural University; Counsellor Zhen Wangda of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia; the translator, Pan Yue, an Associate Research Fellow of Jinan University attended the event and delivered remarks.

Drawing on a decade of poverty alleviation practice in Hebian Village, Yunnan Province, southwest of China, the book outlines the logic and governance experience behind China’s poverty reduction efforts. Its publication in Indonesia is expected to deepen understanding of China’s poverty reduction approach and promote bilateral exchanges and cooperation. The book has been published in English, Korean and other languages, with broad international impact.
