On April 28, the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, together with China International Communications Group (CICG), successfully hosted the China-Indonesia Promotional Event for the English Edition of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China (Volume V) in Jakarta.

H.E. Dr Ahmad Muzani, Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of Indonesia, H.E. M. Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara, Minister of Transmigration, H.E. Chang Bo, President of China International Communications Group, and Ambassador Wang Lutong delivered remarks. Nearly 300 representatives from the publishing sector, think tanks, academia, and media organizations from both China and Indonesia attended the event.

Ambassador Wang Lutong noted that Xi Jinping: The Governance of China systematically presents the development trajectory and core essence of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. It serves as a “golden key” for the world to better understand China and offers fresh insights and perspectives for the development of China-Indonesia relations. China and Indonesia, he said, will work hand in hand to highlight the regional and global influence of a China-Indonesia community with a shared future, and continue to write a new chapter of unity, cooperation, mutual benefit, and self-strengthening among major developing countries.

The promotional event also featured Indonesian village head representatives from the embassy-organized “Indonesian Rural Cadre Training Program”, also known as the “Village Head Program”, who shared their study experiences in China, as well as scholars from both countries exchaning views on their reflections on the book.
