On September 2, Ambassador Wang Lutong met with H. E. Sam Hou Fai, Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), and his delegation at the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on strengthening China-Indonesia relations and cooperation between Macao and Indonesia.

Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai said that this visit aims to expand cooperation between Macao and ASEAN countries. Macao will continue to serve as a bridge, build a high-standard platform for opening up, contribute to the central government’s overall diplomacy, and support the development of China-Indonesia relations.

Ambassador Wang welcomed Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai’s visit to Indonesia and said that China-Indonesia relations maintain strong momentum of growth, with increasingly close cooperation in various fields. The vigorous development of China-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership has created broader space for Macao to further expand practical cooperation with Indonesia. The Chinese Embassy in Indonesia will continue to provide strong support for Macao in this regard.
